Benban Solar Park
This project has been completed and developed in partnership with the IFC. The project is supported by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC). The objective of the project is to contribute to increasing Egypt’s generation capacity, and reducing Egypt’s dependency on gas and fuel for electricity generation.

Albilal Group, has been awarded a contract to develop a 300MW IPP in Karbala, Iraq and a 225MW IPP in Alexandria, Iraq. These two projects are the first of their kind in Iraq. With heavy dependency on gas and fuel for electricity generation, these are the first renewable energy power generation projects in Iraq and served to be an example of the potential of renewable energy in Iraq.
